The Airports External Portal has two major purposes.

First, the portal provides a single sign-on capability for authorized users of the FAA Airport applications. FAA Airport applications include: (1) the Passenger Facility Charge Reporting System (PFC Reporting), (2) the FAA American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Data Collector, and (3) the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) application.

After logging onto the Airports External Portal, authorized users can open any of the FAA Airport applications for which they are authorized without any additional login requirements. The user's credentials will be active as long as Airports External Portal window is still an active browser window.

Secondly, the Airports External Portal provides direct links to all public FAA airport information and reports. This information is available to public visitors to the portal as well as authorized application users who have logged onto the Airports External Portal.
